On September 8, 2023, Shuqin Wang from the group successfully defended their PhD thesis. The members who attended the defense were Prof. Xiangdong Kong from Zhejiang University of Technology, Prof. Jianzhao Liu from Department of Polymer, Zhejiang University, Prof. Wei Wang, Miroslay Karabaliev and Radostina Georgieva from Zhejiang University.
Shuqin Wang's research interests include the construction of inflammation-regulated hydrogels and their use in the treatment of myocardial infarction, and she has published one paper and one patent during her PhD studies. Kai Wang's research interests include the construction of multifunctional hydrogels/microgels for inflammation microenvironment regulation and their use in the treatment of myocardial infarction, and he has published one paper and several patents during his PhD studies. The whole defense went smoothly, and the experts present at the meeting also gave him a lot of pertinent comments and suggestions, and hoped that he would have a better performance in his future work and study.
