Research

Myocardial infarction and the resulting heart failure are major threats to human health. The laboratory will focus on the cutting-edge scientific issues and key technologies for clinical application of cardiac patches, focusing on the study of the mechanical and biological effects of cardiac patches in the treatment of heart attack, and the development of high-performance elastomer-based cardiac patches and minimally invasive implantation technologies, with the aim of bridging the key link of "theory-materials-device-surgery", and promoting the clinical translation of cardiac patches into clinical use. The researchers are striving to bridge the key link of ‘theory-materials-device-surgery’, to promote the clinical translation of cardiac patches and to develop cardiovascular medical devices with independent intellectual property rights. Interested postdoctoral fellows, graduate students and undergraduate students are welcome to join us at zhuyang@zju.edu.cn.
